Raised in Vancouver, Hannah grew up immersed in dance, theatre, and music. Now, she is pursuing her lifelong dream of combining these experiences with visual storytelling.

Hannah Yang is an independent Korean-Canadian Director from Vancouver, BC. As a second generation immigrant, Hannah has a deep passion for interlacing culture with identity. Her first short film, 'Mama's Song' featured an all-Asian cast and key creative team. 'Mama's Song' has been selected for Lift-Off Film Festival and Canada Shorts Film Festival. Hannah has directed music videos for Canadian artists, Teon Gibbs, Serena Sun, and Misha Eyre. She is currently producing a documentary about AI in the creative industry funded by Telus Storyhive. Her next directorial venture is a visual essay about people of colour living with keloid scars.
